In partnership with Cleveland Metropolitan School District, Harvey Rice Wraparound School and The Centers for Families and Children, shark&minnow founded the Read Aloud Program in 2017 to promote literacy in our community. To share our love of reading, shark&minnow employees visits Harvey Rice each month to engage scholars in interactive, educational programming.

During the height of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, scholars could not attend school in-person and instead pivoted to online learning. Our team worked quickly to adapt the program to work for all scholars from a safe distance, creating videos of our employees reading their favorite books aloud. And also giving scholars the gift of reading for the holiday in the form of free books. We hope you and your little scholars enjoy watching the videos below.

Scholars have now returned to the classroom and shark&minnow is proud to return as well, visiting Harvey Rice bi-weekly to read to two second-grade classes.
