The Client
The Hebrew Free Loan Association (HFLA) is a non-profit organization that gives interest-free loans to people in the Northeast Ohio community who lack access to traditional lending sources. They aim to empower individuals to become financially self-sufficient and secure.
The Challenge
HFLA is commonly referred to as the “best kept secret in Northeast Ohio.” However, herein lies the problem – most people and businesses in Northeast Ohio were unaware of the 115 year-old organization and the transformative, financial services they provided.
The Solution
In effort to share the dynamic and emotional story behind HFLA, shark&minnow created a collection of videos (three micro-stories and a full gala video) that would be used as digital assets on social media and interestfree.org, donation tools for development and a celebratory brand video to be featured during their annual gala. The documentary style video followed recipients of each loan type (Personal, Education & Business) and integrated in a quote from Executive Director Michal Marcus to showcase the relationship aspect of HFLA’s transformative lending model.
